Mushroom & caramelized onions tart – Caramelized onions with sauteéd mushrooms. The perfect appetizers when hosting a dinner or you can eat it with a green salad for lunch! ⁠

You’ll need:⁠
60 g salted butter⁠
20g olive oil⁠
300g button mushroom, sliced⁠
2 medium yellow onions, thinly sliced⁠
1 package frozen puff pastry, thawed⁠
Salt and pepper, to taste⁠

Method:⁠

1. In a large pan, heat the butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add the onions and toss to coat. Reduce the heat to low and cook until the onions are deeply golden and caramelized. Season with salt and pepper. Add the mushrooms to the pan and cook, just until they release their moisture. Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature.⁠

2. Preheat the oven to 200°C. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough maintaining an even circle. Roll the dough up onto the rolling pin, and drape gently over the tart crust. Chill the dough inside the refrigerator for 10-15 min.⁠

3. Trim the excess dough from the edges of the tart pan. Place a piece of parchment in the center and fill with pie weight. Bake the crust until it begins to turn golden at the edges. Retire from the oven and let it cool at room temperature. ⁠

4. Spread the onion and mushroom mixture in an even layer inside the tart pan. Return the tart to the oven and bake for 20 min. ⁠
