Baked sausage, the Slovenian way

🥬 1 package sauerkraut
🥬 4 sausages for baking
🥬 1 onion, chopped thin
🥬 crackling (lard and fat)
1. Rinse sauerkraut once or twice, drain and set aside.
2. In a pan, saute onion with lard until translucent and add sauerkraut. Saute until somewhat cooked.
3. In an oven tray, place sausages and drizzle with lard and cracklings. Bake in oven at 180C for 30 minutes.
4. Remove sausages, place the sauerkraut in the oven tray, place the sausages on top, and drizzle with more cracklings. Bake at 200 for another 10 minutes.
5. Serve and enjoy.
